Senator Titus Corlăţean of Romania: Foreign Policy Expert fighting for Families

Senator Titus Corlăţean of Romania is today´s guest on Insight with Pastor Torp.

Corlăţean led the delegation of senators and parliamentarians from Romania in January 2016 to investigate the Norwegian welfare services´ (Barnevernet) unwarranted take-over of the five Romanian-Norwegian children of Marius & Ruth Bodnariu. 

Now he is spearheading a European and global campaign to demand the return to their family in Sweden of the two Romanian Samson teenagers. The campaign has so far gathered thousands of concerned citizens of numerous nations in Washington DC, London, Copenhagen and Stockholm. 

Senator Corlăţean has also spoken strongly in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in Strasbourg, and he initiated an unprecedented unanimous resolution in the Romanian Senate to demand that Sweden returns the two teenagers to their parents.

Senator Titus Corlăţean (Social Democrat) presently chairs the Foreign Policy Committee of the Romanian Senate. He is a former professor of Law, and the former minister of Justice (2012) and minister of Foreign Affairs (2012-2014), and previously chaired the Committee on the Election of Judges to the European Court of Human Rights, and served as Vice-Chairperson of the Sub-Committee on the implementation of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.
