Dr Sheree Trotter, who is from the Māori tribe of New Zealand, is the founder of Indigenous Embassy Jerusalem, and is Jan-Aage´s guest on Insight with Pastor Torp.
Her PhD was on the history of Zionism in New Zealand, and that led her to the important role with the Embassy.
In their conversation, Dr Trotter shares about what the Indigenous Embassy Jerusalem is, and why it was established, which indigenous peoples that are currently represented, and if it is open for more indigenous groups to join. She underscores that it is for people of all faiths that love Israel and the Jewish people.
- The Jews are the indigenous people of the land of Israel, she states and emphatically refutes that Israel is a settler-colonial state that has displaced indigenous Palestinians.
Her Māori identity is also defined, and Jan-Aage asks her how the Māori´s compare the Sami´s in Norway, Sweden and Finland.
Watch this fascinating account of one of the most compelling initiatives to support Israel in the world today.
