Gidon Ariel, a settler of Hebron in Judea, was previously the English-speaking spokesman for the Ma’ale Adumim settlement close to Jerusalem, where the Israeli government plans to expand the E1 area for the development of both Jerusalem and Ma’ale Adumim, and increase the security of Israel as a whole.
E1 is within Area C of the Oslo Accords of the 1990`s.
But the plans face sharp criticism from the United Nations and several European nations, including Norway.
In this conversation with Jan-Aage in Insight wth Pastor Torp, Gidon Ariel explains the Biblical background of Ma’ale Adumim, its modern history, and why the E1 expansion in Judea is crucial for Israel´s security.
Gidon Ariel is the co-founder and director of Root Source, which builds bridges between Jews and Christians.
