Apostolic and Societal Leaders celebrate «the Pro-Life Capital of Ibero-America»

Last week a celebration was held in Guatamela City, the capital of Guatemala, to express gratitude for the laws of the nation that grant protection to unborn babies.
Under the leadership of President Alejandro Eduardo Giammattei Falla since 2020, Guatamela has continued on the path of respecting and honoring the sanctity of human life.
When he took office in 2020, he declared that he would «make Guatemala ´the pro-life capital of Ibero-America´, strengthen the family, and respect life from conception».
In Guatemala, abortion is legal only when the life of a pregnant woman or girl is in danger, and penalties vary from one to twelve years in prison.
In the celebration last week, President Alejandro Eduardo Giammattei Falla gave a passionate speech about the right to human life, in line with a speech that he gave at the International Religious Freedom Summit in Washington DC in 2022, where EAL´s President Jan-Aage Torp was as well.
At the Guatemala Celebration last week, renowned politicians, societal and apostolic leaders participated, such as Lance Wallnau, Che Ahn, Paul Wilbur, Cindy Jacobs and Rich Vera.
