RIP, Dr. Amadou Toumani Touré, President of Mali

I am so sad to learn that Dr. Amadou Toumani Touré, former President of Mali (2002-2012), passed away a few months ago.

A truly great man!

I had several breakfasts and dinners with him between 2018 and 2020.

What impressed me was his real compassion for people and families, combined with his sharp mind and astute political awareness.
