On the occasion of the 93rd National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia´s Anniversary, Mr. Ahmed S. Alharbi, Charge d ́Affaires a.i., received around 100 guests from the diplomatic community and Norwegian society for a reception at Radisson Blu Hotel Scandinavia - Salon Copenhagen today.
Mr. Alharbi spoke about the noticable successes of the Saudi Kingdom under the leadership of the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Mohammad bin Salman.
Delicious Saudi dishes were served for lunch, amidst a friendly and joyous atmosphere.
Rev. Jan Aage Torp, President of EAL, was honored to be among the distinguished guests. He had cordial and productive conversations with his ambassaorial friends, H.E. Amr Ramadan (Egypt), H.E. Muhib Namirat (Jordan), H.E. Adil Tursunov (Kazakhstan), and H.E. Maite Rivero Torres (Cuba), and he made friends with new ambassadors H.E. Acquino Vimal (India), H.E. Raed Abdulla Sayed Rajab Alrifai (Kuwait), H.E. Kawamura Hiroshi (Japan), and H.E. Jan Bayart (Belgium). He also had good conversations with the Counsellor for Political and Economic Affairs of the US Embassy and the Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Tunisia, as well as with several representatives of Norwegian businesses, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the new representative of Oslo City Council, this he 18 years old Arina Aamir of the Conservative Party (Høyre).
For Jan-Aage, it was a special joy to link up with the honorable Japanese ambassador, in that Japan is the country of his birth.
